Welcome to the Haycraft Creative blog
The main purpose of this blog is to share industry insights, provide creative inspiration and it’s a good opportunity for us to post in a bit more detail about what we do and how we help our clients achieve their goals.
The purpose of this post however is to give you a bit of an intro to us and to the business as well as fill you in on where we’ve come from and where we’re hoping to go in the future.
Where it all began
I set up the business in 2015 to embark on life as a freelance designer. Having worked in permanent design roles for years I felt like a new challenge was on the cards. The business has changed a lot since then, it started with me freelancing for various design and marketing agencies in Bristol, Bath, and beyond but the end goal was always to work directly with businesses and organisations. Over time I gradually began to build connections and was eventually able to solely work with my own clients under the name of Ink to the Woods whilst raising our young child at the same time.
Where we are today
The business now has a new name a new team member and a shiny new brand. My husband Phil came on board as Creative Partner at the beginning of 2021 and brings a wealth of design and publishing experience (as well as a few awards) with him.
Phil joined Haycraft Creative for a new challenge and to support the creative needs of the growing business. During his time here he’s worked on some substantial projects that span both print and digital. It means he gets to spend more time with our son and I have a new teammate, which is great!
New location
We’ve recently moved into a new workspace at The Hive in Weston-super-Mare which we are very excited about.
The Hive appealed to us because they’re not only a lovely bunch who have plenty of advice for growing businesses to offer on behalf of North Somerset Enterprise Agency but they are also a green build and are working towards B Corp accreditation.
You’re more than welcome to come and see us if you’re in the area and fancy a face-to-face meeting at some point!
Where we’re heading
We want to leave a positive footprint with each project, no matter how large or small, and we love working with organisations that share this vision. A positive footprint can take many forms, from charitable causes, ecology, and sustainability, to simply helping staff and customers feel more valued, supported, and better communicated with.
Perhaps your whole business is dedicated to a cause, or your company operates in another field but cares about doing things in the right way.
Whoever you are, if you’re working to make things better in your little corner, we could be the perfect fit.
I hope this has helped you get to know us a little better. Whether you have an upcoming project that you’d like to discuss or you just have a few questions, please do get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
