A Fresh Digital Identity for a Global Leader in Pathology
The European Society of Pathology had just completed a major rebrand. As an organisation, it plays a central role in advancing pathology across Europe, supporting research, education and high-quality diagnostic practice. But their digital presence no longer reflected the scale or ambition of their work.
They needed something that could.
We worked alongside the team at Soto Digital to translate the new brand into a clear, flexible digital experience, two websites in total. One for the society itself, and one for the European Congress of Pathology, the world’s largest annual pathology congress, welcoming more than 5,000 delegates from across the globe each year.
What struck us most was the scale of the community ESP supports. Thousands of clinicians, researchers and specialists, connected by a shared commitment to improving patient care. The challenge was making large volumes of complex information feel coherent and easy to navigate for such a broad audience.
We developed a design approach that could hold everything: scientific resources, member services, congress updates and news, while keeping the experience intuitive. Careful use of layout, hierarchy and visual rhythm guides visitors through the content without overwhelming them.
Behind the scenes, the platform works hard too. It integrates with the society’s membership system and supports personalised content for different users. But from the visitor’s perspective, the experience feels simple and seamless.
The result is two websites that reflect the professionalism and international reach of the organisation. A digital presence that brings clarity to a complex field, and gives the European Society of Pathology a platform built to grow with its community.
